New Streets of Rogue game

Street of Rogue 2 is a premium role-playing game for PC from developer Matt Dabrowski. It is the sequel to the highly popular action roguelike, Streets of Rogue. This time around, new and returning players can expect to have a more open-world experience compared to its predecessor.

Building upon the success of the first Streets of Rogue, Streets of Rogue 2 brings the same open gameplay and freedom of choice that fans have come to love about the series. It offers a non-linear sandbox experience wherein players can just play and do whatever they want in it.

Going out to the world

At this point, most indie developers and their grandmas have dipped their toes in the ever-popular roguelike genre popularized by games like The Binding of Isaac, and more recently, regarded by many to be the modern standard, Hades. Then came Streets of Rogue, a game that was praised for open-ended gameplay, diverse characters, and the many branching paths that players can take.

A few years later and a sequel is officially coming in the form of Streets of Rogue 2. You still get a wide variety of character classes and items to play around with in its procedurally-generated areas. Speaking of, the biggest change with this new iteration is the move to a larger and seamless open world for you to live in and explore to your heart's content.

Other notable additions include some home-building, as well as farming and husbandry, blurring the lines between roguelikes and life simulators. Also, you now get access to vehicles like trucks, making it easier to move about, and mow down stuff. With all of that being said, you will have to wait as the game is not out yet. Ditto for any kind of official release date.

Rogues with trucks

All in all, if you're a fan of the original, then there will be a lot to digest with its follow-up, Streets of Rogue 2. The sequels bring about plenty of changes and new additions to the formula while still keeping the core experience intact. Only time will tell if they will pan out, but signs point to good things ahead. Hopefully, more news becomes available soon.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
